GLOHW’s approach to greyhound adoption is not to “warehouse” dogs, but rather to select a dog specifically for an adoptive family based on compatibility between a particular greyhound’s personality and needs and those of the adopter. For that reason, we do not often have dogs waiting for a home. However, from time to time, GLOHW is asked to re-home a dog. Most frequently this is due to changes within the family that do not allow them to keep their dog.

Once a dog is relinquished to GLOHW, he or she is placed in a foster home for evaluation and then we begin the process of finding the right “forever home”. If you are interested in adopting an available dog or would like more information, please contact us at adopt@glohw.com.
